Ava Duarte

Ava Duarte (Navajo/Apache) is currently an anthropology student at CCSF. She says she thinks its important to be a AICD YAC member because Native American youth have historically  disenfranchised and have been left out of larger discussion surrounding policy and legislation. She hopes to bring her knowledge of ethnology and anthropology to the council, and contribute to discussions that spark positive change to the Indigenous community. She is most interested in policy making goals. ”
